Composition and manufacture

Silver ribbed-aluminium scraper sections combined with either Contract-King heavy-duty, a heavy-duty entrance matting, or fibre-bonded polypropylene inserts or rubber strips. Three types of rubber strip are available: fine-ribbed, extra heavy-duty and fibre-reinforced micro criss-cross.

Accessories

Wellmaid matwell frames are tailor-made to virtually any size of shape, in a choice of aluminium or brass angle sections. Also available are Bevalu and Safe-T-Edge surface-mounted aluminium matwell frames with anti-trip, bevelled edges.

Size and weight

Buffer-Zone entrance matting can be tailor-made to virtually any size and shape.

Thickness: 17, 19 and 20mm.

Appearance

Contract-King inserts are available in Grey, Black, Anthracite, Brown, Beige, Red, Olive Green, Emerald Green, Royal Blue and Purple.

Rubber strips are predominantly Black.

Sitework

Consult manufacturer for details. Matting must always be laid with the direction of the strips at right angles to the principal flow of traffic.

Cleaning and maintenance

Daily cleaning by vacuum cleaner is recommended, together with occasional complete removal of the matting for thorough cleaning, particularly in the case of open-construction mats, where the matwells will require regular removal of any build-up of grit, dirt or rain. All strips should be removed and replaced when worn, or if a new colour is required to blend with a revised design scheme.
