Composition and manufacture
The Stairiser SX platform stairlift is designed to run on a straight rail over a single flight of stairs. The unit folds flat against the rail when not in use.
The Stairiser CR platform stairlift is designed for use on a curved rail, therefore suitable for any run of stairs with a single turn, multiple landings or spiral configuration.
External models are also available.
Size and weight
Both Stairiser products have four platform sizes: 750 x 900mm; 810 x 1,050mm; 810 x 1,200mm; 810 x 1,250mm.
The standard load weight for the Stariser SX is 230kg. The standard load weight for the Stariser CR is 220kg.
Operation and control
The Stairiser SX utilises a motorised carriage that climbs up and down a rigid aluminium rail with a positive rack, pinion drive and automatic brake, whereas the Stairiser CR uses a wire rope pulled by an electric motor.
Both products also have joystick control on the carriage itself. Constant pressure, wireless control buttons are at the top and bottom landings.
