Gartec Home have provided their 6000 home lift for Frankie and her family in Essex to create a wheelchair-accessible lower floor living space for their daughter.

They wanted a lift that would be functional, but also work with the stunning new design of the house.

Matt Akerman, Home Lift Manager helped with the design, including using the upper landing to make life easier.

The doors were changed to different sides on each floor so it didn’t open in a bedroom and the remote buttons were easier to reach.

The lift was installed in just 2 days and Frankie and her family were impressed with the results.

They said: ““We love the lift and it makes the house more fun for our daughter – she loves having her freedom back. We’re getting a second one because it makes things so easy!”

Giving their daughter back her independence has inspired them to get a second lift in their summer house stairwell.
