Gartec HomeLift (AHL) Illuminates and Compliments Luxury Townhouse

A short distance from Knightsbridge and Sloane Square, the property required a home lift to travel four floors from the basement to the second floor. The key requirements included travel for convenience between floors and for light to flow through the property on each level.

A Gartec HomeLift was an obvious choice for the Architect having seen a similar installation Gartec Home had completed, where a roof light had been installed above the lift. The client decided the same, allowing light to flood through down the stairwell through to the basement via the lift as it was installed with bespoke glazed panels to three sides, filling each floor with light and illumination.

Gartec Home worked closely with the Architect and Interior Designer together to implement the Gartec HomeLift, following the client’s research into various lifts and providers, the client felt Gartec were one of the best to deal with having years of experience, friendly and professional.

Gartec provided advice and recommendations at the beginning of the project on the design style, the sizes that would work within this project and what that would offer to the project in terms of carrying capacity, accessibility and futureproofing, after looking at all the options with Gartec Home, it was decided that the Gartec HomeLift offered the most benefits in terms of aesthetics and function to this project, with minimal building or structural work and could be customised to fit the range of finishes previously selected.

The design throughout the home displays opulence and luxury, with grand chandeliers and feature lighting, heavy textured boucle roman blinds and metallic finishes used across doors and framework. The Gartec HomeLift was selected in white RAL 9016 with the customised marble flooring inside to match the hallway on the ground floor, by using glass on three sides matched with a skylight above it opens up the centre of the house as a focal point, flooding the home with light.

The SmartLight feature of the HomeLift emphasises other products within the home, controlled by the SmartLift app, the homeowners were able to change the colour of the lift lighting to blue, matching the blue chandeliers when entering the property.

The lift allows homeowners to have a forever home, assist with disability requirements or to add flexibility and convenience, whether its frequent travel and luggage being transported from the top floors to the ground floor or with children, pushchairs and toys or just for ease of daily tasks.

Gartec Home can provide advice on what lift will suit your home and lifestyle, but also the benefits of the different sizes, features and design choices. The Gartec HomeLift (AHL) installed, is designed by Gartec’s parent company Aritco with care and attention for optimum style, and safe for any home. Every lift is bespoke to your needs, giving you flexibility to access different floors, following the design style of your home and avoiding costly renovation.

The Gartec HomeLift was installed by two engineers, only taking four days and was a smooth and hassle-free process. The lifts included one touch call station buttons, LED platform and shaft lighting, automatic fully glazed doors, a Smartlift App, auto dialler on platform (emergency telephone), an external alarm sounder and emergency battery lowering.

Located in the middle of the stairwell, the stairs were designed to accommodate the lift mast fixings at the rear of the lift. Two discrete rods connected the lift to the stairs at each landing and at the top of the lift.

The size of the lift is spacious enough to take up to two people and can carry up to 250kg. The white double doors with have a central opening and are made of toughened and laminated glass with painted profiles and beautiful detailing, these blend with the overall design scheme and will remain timeless.

Inside the lift a SmartControl is a unique feature of the Gartec HomeLift, beautifully lit using LED lights, it is intuitive and user-friendly, by turning and pressing the SmartContol the lift can be operated. Bespoke glass panels were used to create symmetry and maximise the light within the stairwell.
