Geberit AquaClean answers BBC’s SOS call to help Isaac

Geberit was part of one of the largest builds for the DIY SOS team yet, providing a Geberit AquaClean shower toilet for five-year-old Isaac, who has a severe form of cerebral palsy.

The show, which aired in September on the BBC, saw presenter Nick Knowles, interior designer Julia Kendall and the DIY SOS team transform the Smith family home in the Derbyshire village of Lasco. Part of the ‘Big Build’ project was the creation of a ground floor wet room, fitted with the Geberit AquaClean 8000plus Care shower toilet, making it easier for the family to care for Isaac, who has a life limiting condition.

Helping to create a brighter future for Isaac and going some way to ensuring he has the best possible quality of life, Geberit’s AquaClean 8000plus shower toilet combines the convenience of a warm water wash and a warm air-dryer to leave Isaac feeling fresh and clean, while also allowing him to enjoy greater independence when using the bathroom.

The extending spray arm of the WC washes with a gentle, oscillating or pulsating jet of warm water, before gently drying with a flow of warm air. The Geberit AquaClean 8000plus Care incorporates the very latest technology to make operation simple.
