Both plates impressed the jury of over 130 independent design experts with their refined, minimalist aesthetic, high-quality materials and seamless integration into contemporary bathroom spaces.

Christoph Behling, designer of the award-winning actuator plates, said: “With such simple, minimalist designs, it is especially important to pay the utmost attention to detail. And that's exactly what we did.”

The Sigma40 stands out with its panoramic proportions, measuring just 4mm in depth and offering a sleek, modern alternative to standard actuator plates. Available with square or round push buttons, the Sigma40 is crafted using a variety of premium materials. Its counterpart, the Type 40 urinal actuator plate, mirrors the same streamlined silhouette and premium surface finishes, and can be specified with manual or infrared sensor activation.

Beneath the refined surface lies a completely new installation concept. Despite its ultra-slim profile, the Sigma40 features a clever mounting solution developed by Geberit engineers to maintain the brand’s tool-free installation standard.
