A total floor and wallcovering solution for showers, Gerflor’s shower system now features a new formulation for Elegance SD and new colours for both Elegance SD and Brazilia SD. These coordinate with other Gerflor products so designers and specifiers have even greater flexibility when creating waterproof, slip-resistant showering facilities for sectors such as care homes, heathcare and sport.

Elegance SD and Brazilia SD are 2 types of floorings, both homogeneous and heterogeneous respectively and are designed for use in conjunction with Taradouche Mural wallcoverings. Together they create a 100% waterproof system when hot welded and provide for total coordination between floor and wall with more than 100 possible combinations to create warm, peaceful or bright atmospheres.

The shower system is offered with a complete set of accessories, including drains and cove formers, to make installation quick and easy. The threshold has been developed in three colours designed to reduce the contrast between the bedroom and shower floors. These are highly efficient and allow for tone-on-tone ambiances, a specific requirement for Alzheimer units.

Safety and accessibility are key attributes of Elegance SD and Brazilia SD. The joints are hot welded and both products are embossed for barefoot slip resistance and allow for the creation of wheelchair accessible showering facilities. The integration of the wall and floor coverings makes maintenance easy and economic and, for added hygiene, Brazilia SD has the bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties of Sanasol®.

Eco-friendly, Gerflor’s shower system uses 100% recyclable products that are manufactured in ISO 14001 certified plants using up to 50% of renewable or mineral material.
