Gilgen Door Systems has reinforced its position as the UKs leading automatic and industrial door specialists with increased investment in its market presence and first class customer service.
Building on over 50 years of industry experience, Gilgen Door Systems has initiated an ambitious strategic plan to grow its share of the automatic door market. The company, supported by its parent company Nabtesco, is investing heavily in its UK operation including sales, marketing, production, information technology and technical support to ensure industry-leading customer service.
Over the past 6months the company has doubled the size of its sales force and announced a series of senior level appointments designed to increase sales and drive penetration of the Gilgen brand.
Kevin Campbell has been appointed to the role of UK Sales Director, bringing with him over 25years experience in the automatic and industrial door industry. Kevin, who was previously General Manager for Scotland, says We are extremely excited about this investment in the UK operation and the prospect of introducing more customers to the Gilgen brand. With such an innovative high quality range and improved levels of support I am confident we can become the customers first choice for all their powered door needs.
With previous management roles at KONE Doors and Envirodoor, Jason Guy has joined the company as National Sales Manager for After Sales. Jason will manage an expanded national team providing dedicated account management, quotations and advice covering customers door maintenance and repair needs. Two additional regional service sales managers have also recently been recruited to Jasons team.
In order to ensure increased capacity and higher levels of customer response the company has invested in its UK production centre at Alfreton, Derbyshire. This investment provides increased capacity for automatic door production and an enlarged team of experienced estimators and back-office staff. Additionally Rob Archer has been appointed to the role of UK Technical Manager for Automatic Doors, providing technical support and direction during this period of growth.
Gilgen Door Systems is also rolling out a new ERP* system which will enable more efficient reporting and resource allocation throughout its operations. The company provides a national service to a large number of blue chip customers through one of the largest service infrastructures in the door industry. Gilgen provides a total supply chain solution from initial design, manufacturing, installation, servicing and repairs for all types of automatic and industrial door.
