Giromax® Edgecoat is their revolutionary next generation cut edge corrosion treatment. The solution is one of the most technologically capable in treating cut edge corrosion on profiled metal roofs, gutters and cladding. The BBA certified formula is fully moisture tolerant and designed to treat both the top and reverse sides of the cut edge, providing matchless protection for up to 15 years.

Metal cladding sheets are factory coated with a number of protective layers. However, when sheets are cut on-site to fit the specific dimensions of a commercial property, factory fitted protection is often lost and the edge becomes exposed to the elements and at risk of corrosion and damage.

Corrosion commonly starts as edge peel at the cut edges of the metal sheet. It develops through normal weathering, mainly on roofs, and rapidly accelerates at the sheet overlap as a result of capillary held rainwater which causes underside corrosion.

Edge corrosion is a progressive problem and, if neglected, can develop away from the cut edge, destroying the weather-sealed lap joint and gutter overhang. Early detection and effective treatment prevents costly future sheet replacement and dilapidations.

Giromax® Edgecoat allows you to preserve the cut edge joint protection, without disturbing the existing fittings and sheets. It provides a strong, flexible external joint that remains unaffected by UV, weather and temperature extremes for up to 15 years.
