Insulating the roof of an existing building can be a logistical nightmare. In the old days it used to mean, if it was a public building, having to close while the refurb was taking place – inconveniencing users and potentially losing money. But one of the three products in Actis insulation’s Hybrid range makes the job quick, easy and nuisance free, with no need to disturb the room below.

Boost ‘R Hybrid is a CE marked insulating watertight breather membrane, which means not only does it keep moisture out, it boosts thermal resistance, keeping heat in, achieving a declared core R-value of 1.35 m2.K/W with no air gaps and an R value of 2.40 m2.K/W with two air voids of 20 mm, as certified by BM Trada Q-Mark CPS-014.

It can be installed horizontally or vertically over timber rafters as a breathable roof underlay. Boost ‘R Hybrid can be used separately or together with other Hybrid range products to provide a total insulation system in roofs, walls and lofts. Together, they can achieve the best U-value requirements with a minimal thickness compared to standard solutions.
