Glazed privacy screening systems for Bermondsey Spa apartments

The GDL Design Team have designed and developed a bespoke privacy screening system to the external facade of new apartment blocks at Bermondsey Spa for Willmott Dixon Housing Ltd. The spacious newly built apartments offer a private outdoor terrace or balcony, our glazed privacy screening systems enhance the sense of space and light, maximising the views beyond.

The vertical glazed systems are designed to provide the necessary lighting requirements for the building as well as allowing high levels of privacy. The blades are also removable for ease of maintenance and repair. The Aluminium screening was designed using airfoil blades fixed vertically and angled individually to create a wave effect when viewed externally and internally.

GDL also manufactured and installed a Horizontal Brise Soleil system, Louvred Doors, External Weather Louvres, Roof Cladding, various Soffit and Balcony Flashing and Cladding and the car park extract ventilation grilles. The company also incorporated a Balustrade System to longer walkways to give the building the aesthetics envisioned by the architects.

GDL’s Intelishade Horizontal Brise Soleil was installed at Bermondsey Spa along the Southern façade of the apartment blocks, communal areas and balconies to provide a comfortable level of shading for the residents.
