Gramm Barriers were chosen to reduce the noise created by the emergency generators that would supply Thames Water in the event of a power failure.

The main challenge for this project was installing the 7.5m high Steel noise barrier posts around the large generators.

Thames contacted Gramm Barrier Systems looking for a completed package from design to installation. The company were asked to design and install a 7m high Aluminium Acoustic Barrier that could be colour coded to match the generators. Gramm also produced design calculations, Drawings and Certificates for their Noise Barrier System.

The barrier systems were so effective that all noise complaints and objections were dropped by the local residents.
