H.M Land Registry

Client: H.M Land Registry
Architect: Citex plc
Value: £230,000
Type of works: refurbishment of five floors.

The project was awarded on a tender basis and required the refurbishment of five floors, including customer facing areas, whilst the client was in occupation.

The project involved replacement of all suspended ceilings, partitions, lighting and power, carpeting and redecoration's. The client wished to upgrade an early 1960 building to create an image more in tune with the organisation's image, and required the removal of all existing structures to bring the areas back to a shell.

Demountables provided the architect with a bespoke timber-framed partition system that would meet their needs and complemented the new desking systems. An energy management lighting system was installed into the new suspended ceiling along with a new trunking and power installation.

Demountables undertook every aspect of the project outside of office hours to allow the building to remain in full occupation. This required the strict management of all the necessary trades to ensure minimal disruption to the client's staff.

The works were completed within an eight-week contract period and came within the estimated budget. Further projects have since been awarded by the client as a result of this project.
