Hamilton add Metal Fused Switch to domestic range

Hamilton add Metal Fused Switch to domestic range

Having entered the domestic circuit protection market last year with its Convex and Contour consumer units, Hamilton Litestat now introduces a new Metal Fused Switch to the range.

The product expansion follows Amendment 3 to the BS 7671 IET wiring regulations, which affects more than just non-combustible enclosures for consumer units.

Switchgear assemblies within household circuit protection also need to be made out of metal to reduce the potential risk of fire, leading Hamilton to develop the Metal Fused Switch.

The Metal Fused Switch is ideally suited for domestic household premises and associated outbuildings: garages/workshops, plus larger multi-occupancy dwellings such as flats/apartments and sheltered/student accommodation.

Finished in matt white, the Metal Fused Switch features a robust metal enclosure with removable gland plate on the top and bottom, with knockouts at the rear, and comes with one fire retardant gland adaptor as standard.

A solid metal drop-down visor blends in with the stylish enclosure.

The units are supplied complete with both a 63A, 80A or 100A fuse, and a two-year product guarantee.

The Metal Fused Switch complements Hamilton’s turnkey range of products for rewiring a house, including consumer units, lighting and audio controls, as well as Hamilton’s vast collection of switch plates and sockets in a range of different metal, plastic, glass and wood finishes.
