Duquesa top of the range natural roofing slate, supplied by Cembrit, is adding style, character and impressive performance to a New England style property in Haslemere, Surrey. The grey colour and even consistent thickness of the Duquesa natural slates has ensured a perfect complement to the exterior of the house, and has put the finishing touch of traditional design to this modern development.
Located in the historic town of Haslemere and surrounded by acres of natural beauty, the development was built by Packham and Clark, a Brighton based company with over thirty year’s success in the construction trade. The Duquesa natural slates have been used on the whole roof of the including 8 dormers and hipped annexes, creating a sleek and dark effect. Roofing contractor for the project was A&J Roofing Ltd of Haslemere, who sourced the Duquesa slates from Guildford based distributor Dragon Roofing.
“The Cembrit Spanish Slate has a reputation for quality and more importantly no rusting pyrite inclusions which you often get in lower quality slates.” explains Ralph of Dragon Roofing. “I also chose the Duquesa slate because of the light grey colour and even consistency, that A&J roofing (Haslemere) Ltd agreed fitted perfectly with the style of the house. The finish we achieved really complements the design of the property and the overall outcome is visually, stunning.”
