A commercial heat recovery unit from Price TWA was installed to provide warm, clean air while removing stale internal air at the Igloo Bar in the basement of the Georgian Abbey Hotel.

The Igloo is a vaulted bar located in the basement of the Georgian Abbey Hotel in the centre of Bath. Set in vaults beneath the hotel, Igloo brings a completely different offering to the city for meetings and private events.

The requirement was to provide suitable ventilation for up to 80 delegates in the day as a meeting space and an events space for receptions, hosted dinners with a occupancy up to 100 guests in evenings. To achieve this the heat from the exhaust air is used to temper the incoming fresh air.
