Project: Jaguar Land rover – Bristol
Project Type: Ramp Heating
Location: Bristol
Construction: Concrete re-enforcement bars – Heated driveway cables – Concrete
System: Bespoke heated driveway cables with 25m cold leads
Size: 25 metre long and 6 metre wide ramp up to rooftop car park
Power: 10 x 4455Watt heated driveway cables
A car dealership showroom in Bristol required a heated ramp system to ensure staff have safe, uninterrupted access to all cars parked on the roof, without risks from ice and snow.
Technical Details:
HDS provided and installed ten 4455W heated driveway cables to cover this 150 sqm ramp, which connects the first floor to the rooftop parking area exposed to all weather conditions.
The cables were attached to the concrete reinforcement bars before being embedded in concrete with a textured, tampered finish.
A fully automated HDS ice and snow melting control system manages the setup, utilising two ground moisture sensors and one air temperature sensor to reduce operational time and costs.
