The Old Royal Naval College is the architectural centrepiece of Maritime Greenwich, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenwich, London, described as the “finest and most dramatically sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles”. The magnificent buildings and grounds are maintained for the benefit of the nation, and open to visitors 363 days per year, including a popular Christmas Market. The buildings were originally constructed to serve as the Royal Hospital for Seamen at Greenwich, commissioned by Queen Mary II and designed by Sir Christopher Wren. It was built between 1696 and 1712 and was a naval hospital until its closure in 1869. Between 1873 and 1998, it was the Royal Naval College, Greenwich, before passing to the Greenwich Foundation to conserve its outstanding buildings and grounds including the Painted Hall, Chapel and Visitor Centre for public access facilitation.

The Old Royal Naval College contacted Frontier Pitts Ltd to provide HVM protection to the College.
