Heskins has introduced two new anti-slip tape solutions designed to improve safety, durability and surface grip across construction environments.
The products - H5510 TBS10 Non-Abrasive Anti-Slip Tape and H3467 Clear Embossed Anti-Slip Tape - expand the company's specialist range of safety surfaces used on walkways, access areas, scaffolding and industrial equipment.
Slip hazards remain one of the most common causes of accidents on construction sites. Anti-slip tapes provide a fast and effective way to improve grip on surfaces exposed to moisture, dust, heavy traffic and outdoor conditions. Designed with these environments in mind, the new Heskins materials combine durable construction with high-performance adhesive technology to provide reliable traction where it is needed most.
H5510 - TBS10 Rubber Crumb Grip Anti-Slip Tape
The H5510 marks the return of the distinctive TBS10 anti-slip surface, previously widely used in marine environments but difficult to reproduce due to its unusual construction.
After the original manufacturer ceased production, Heskins undertook an extensive two-year development programme involving internal specialists, plastics experts and custom machinery engineers to recreate the material.
Unlike conventional abrasive anti-slip tapes, H5510 features a flexible plastic base combined with a soft plastic crumb surface fused directly into the material. The result is an anti-slip tape that visually resembles mineral abrasive tape while remaining non-abrasive and comfortable underfoot or for hand contact.
For the construction sector this offers several advantages:
• Durable anti-slip performance on access routes and walkways
• Reduced damage to PPE, clothing and equipment
• Comfortable grip on ladders, scaffolding and machinery steps
• Flexible material capable of conforming to uneven or curved surfaces
The product is currently available in 1mm thickness in black, with additional colours and thickness options planned.
Typical construction applications include:
• Scaffold walkways
• Access ladders and steps
• Plant and machinery platforms
• Vehicle steps and loading areas
• Temporary site structures and portable access routes

H3467 – Thick Flexible Clear PVC Tape
The second new product, H3467, expands Heskins' growing non-abrasive anti-slip tape range and has been developed to provide grip while maintaining surface visibility.
Manufactured using a 1.4mm thick flexible plastic film, H3467 features a carefully engineered pimple repeat emboss pattern. This deep emboss creates reliable traction while giving the material a clean, professional appearance.
One of the key advantages of H3467 is its optically clear finish, allowing floor graphics, safety markings or architectural surfaces beneath the tape to remain fully visible.
Key features include:
• Deep embossed anti-slip pattern for effective traction
• Optically clear surface to preserve underlying graphics
• High-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive
• UV stability for outdoor construction environments
• Flexible material that wraps easily around angles and edges
• Soft-touch non-abrasive surface suitable for frequent foot traffic
These properties make H3467 ideal for use on:
• Stair edges and access ramps
• Floor safety graphics and signage
• Painted metal surfaces and equipment panels
• Glass walkways and architectural surfaces
• Machinery access points and maintenance areas

Anti-Slip Solutions Designed for Demanding Construction Environments
With the launch of H5510 and H3467, Heskins continues to expand its portfolio of anti-slip materials designed to reduce slips, trips and falls across industrial and construction environments.
By combining specialist materials engineering with high-performance adhesive technology, the company provides safety solutions that are easy to install and capable of performing in demanding working conditions.
As construction projects increasingly prioritise worker safety and site compliance, anti-slip surfaces such as these provide a practical and cost-effective way to improve traction on critical access areas.
