A storage concept by international furniture fittings manufacturer Hettich has proved a big boost to UK kitchen retailers.
LightTower® by Hettich is a practical new larder storage concept featuring hassle-free, no connection illumination using the Hettich’s exceptional AvanTech You platform drawer system.
For the kitchen retailers up and down the country who have fitted a LightTower in their showrooms, it’s proved to be just the talking point they need to start a conversation with potential customers.
Light Tower illuminates each drawer automatically when the cabinet is opened, which draws the “wow” response of an unexpected discovery and inspires customers to think laterally.
“Kitchens are a discretionary purchase, so customers need more than static displays to encourage them to become buyers,” said Jonathan Hunt, Hettich UK head of marketing. “LightTower was first introduced to the UK market at a trade event and from the response we knew that imagination and technical finesse had produced a winner.”
Kristina Libertini, operations director at retailer and manufacturer Kitchen Fair in Lancashire, said: “It is that really sleek design and when you open the drawer, it's the “Oh!” you get - that element of surprise. And people ask ‘how does it work? How do you get that light on?’ One customer mentioned they would be able to sneak a biscuit in the middle of the night without turning on the main light. That’s just the sort of conversation that builds rapport.”
With LightTower, delivery of the even, 4,000K light requires no complicated connections and the light set simply clips on the drawer side profiles. A practical rechargeable battery pack adheres to the rear panel.
For new kitchens and retrofit, Light Tower comprises five drawer boxes, in a choice of widths, each individually illuminated.
Smooth, effortless drawer opening and closing is assured thanks to high-quality 30 kg runners, and installation is easy.
