High quality aluminium access covers more affordable than ever

ACO Building Drainage, the UK’s leading specialist in corrosion resistant drainage systems has worked closely with Fabweld Steel Products to develop and supply a new range of high quality yet affordable recessed aluminium access covers. The ACO Alucover range is available in the UK though Fabweld, which is a European market leader in the manufacture and supply of bespoke access covers and peripherals.

The new lightweight access covers are ideal for both internal and external applications, providing a high quality, unobtrusive visual finish. Precision manufacturing ensures minimal gap between frame and cover, while the advanced mechanical assembly process results in a rigid and uniform frame and cover with no weld heat distortion.

The Alucover range features a double sealed, single cover with integrated grit seal to prevent the ingress of grit and silt between the cover and frame, and deliver long and effective service life. The covers can be locked safely and securely in place using a 4-point locking system with integrated low profile corner locking blocks. Captive replaceable brass nuts and stainless steel locking screws complete with protective caps are also provided.

The new aluminium covers are simple and fast to install, with a low profile 73mm overall frame depth. Two combined jacking and lifting keys are supplied as standard, making the covers easy to remove and replace. A steel fabric mesh with captive supports remains firmly inside the cover during handling and installation, ensuring proper reinforcement when filled with concrete.
