Highcross Quarter is a large extension/redevelopment of the existing Shires Shopping centre in the city of Leicester.

The £350 millon transformation of this 10.2 hectare site includes key stores such as John Lewis, Next and New Look, and also a 12 screen cinema. It was officially opened on the 4th September 2008.

During 2006 and 2007, Decomo worked with Foreign Office Architects and contractors Sir Robert McAlpine, in the design, manufacture and installation of approximately 1,300m2 of Black polished-concrete cladding panels to the John Lewis Store and Cinema de Lux.

This contract consisted of 170 assorted precast units, including single-skinned precast concrete cladding, concrete doors and sandwich panels (two layers of precast concrete encapsulating integral thermal insulation).
