Hörmann wicket door with thermal break is world's first

The world's first wicket door with thermal break has been developed by Hörmann to maintain the insulation qualities of its latest generation of industrial sectional doors.

The attention to detail, that Hörmann has applied to this new generation of 67mm thick “Thermo” doors has led to the new wicket door design. Concealed hinges and built in door closers are also included, with this pedestrian access option. An adjustable threshold profile with flexible seal compensates for any unevenness in the floor and double seals between the wicket door and threshold strip help to maintain the thermal capability of this design.

Clear passage width is reduced slightly to 905mm for this new option, however the design retains Hörmann's unique trip free threshold. This combination of the low height stainless steel threshold strip and width still means this wicket door can be used as a designated emergency exit.

The wicket door can also carry the full range of glazing options offered with these new sectional doors. Hörmann's scratch resistant Duratec can be selected in double, triple and quadruple units along with the option of climatic double pane glass units, depending on the level of insulation required.
