Project Overview
As part of a wider redevelopment at Homebase Wandsworth, we were commissioned to design, manufacture, and install bespoke cycle storage solutions and street furniture. The brief was to deliver a durable, design-led cycle storage system complementing the site’s modern architecture, providing staff and visitors with secure, user-friendly facilities to encourage sustainable travel.

The Approach
Working closely with the client, we supplied and installed a suite of Richmond Cycle Shelters alongside complementary stainless-steel Sheffield stands, litter bins, bollards, and hardwood benches.

Key Features
Bespoke Richmond Cycle Shelters
Three shelters in varying capacities (6, 13, and 20 spaces) with powder-coated RAL finishes matching the site palette
Toughened glass roofing with integrated guttering and drainage systems for longevity and premium finish
Sheffield Cycle Stands
Grade 304 stainless steel stands for secure, easy cycle storage, designed for durability in high-traffic areas.

Street Furniture
Hardwood timber benches and coordinated street furniture enhance the public realm, providing practical resting areas.

Made in Britain
All shelters manufactured to BS EN ISO 1461:2022 standards using hot-dipped galvanised steel for long-term corrosion protection.

Project Delivery
The installation was planned to minimise site disruption. Shelters were bolt-fixed to foundations with integrated drainage systems, providing a low-maintenance solution. Design details such as laminated glass panels, hidden fixings, and premium hardwood finishes balance functionality with architectural refinement.

Outcome
The completed scheme has provided Homebase Wandsworth with:

Safe and secure cycle parking for over 35 bicycles, encouraging sustainable travel
A cohesive public realm with benches, bins, and bollards blending seamlessly with the site design
