New hygienic wall kerbing with a smooth Sanicoat surface by PolySto was chosen to improve a meat processing factory in Portugal.

The facility required a building refurbishment to ensure their hygienic environment was up to standard.

The wall kerb was manufactured with a rebated foot so a resin floor cove could be created. Once installed against the wall and existing floor, the wall kerb was completely sealed with PolySto hygienic sealant.

The red resin floor and wall kerbing provides a seamless connection between floor and wall, eliminating any dirt traps for unwanted bacteria to harbour in.

Taking into consideration the risk of possible spillages and the daily cleaning regime, the new resin floor wall cove removes the common 90 degree corner and provides a smooth easy to clean surface.

In addition, the white Sanicoat finish of the wall kerbing provides an anti-bacterial surface, which is hard-wearing and ideal for the meat industry.
