Immediate Availability and Hydraulic Calculation with ULMA

When purchasing products, various factors influence the decision-making process, including price, quality, and availability. Ultimately, the goal is to make the best choice in every aspect of life.

ULMA strives to provide expert guidance to clients, ensuring they make informed decisions. A prime example is the recent project for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) headquarters in Gogarburn, west of Edinburgh. This extensive campus accommodates over 3,000 employees daily, and for the visitor car park, a reliable drainage system was required.

Selecting the Optimal Drainage System

Choosing the right drainage system is crucial for both functionality and cost-efficiency. For those facing similar decisions, ULMA's technical-sales department offers personalised advice, including hydraulic calculations to determine the most suitable solution.

Each project presents unique challenges, and to ensure optimal performance, both in drainage capacity and cost, ULMA has developed a multi-platform software tool. This software conducts a hydraulic study tailored to each project, helping define the most effective drainage channels. For the RBS visitors' car park, this analysis provided essential data for validating the drainage solution.

KompaqDrain City 100: Safety and Efficiency

After evaluating all requirements, the most suitable solution was the installation of KompaqDrain City 100 compact channels. A total of 1075 metres of this monolithic channel model was installed throughout the visitors' car park, offering both safety and hydraulic efficiency.

User Safety

KompaqDrain City features narrower collection holes, improving accessibility and mobility for pedestrians. Additionally, given the anticipated traffic levels, its compact design integrates the grating into a single piece, enhancing durability and user safety.

Hydraulic Efficiency

The Max Flow effect of the KompaqDrain channels optimises rainwater collection through widened inlets, improving water flow and increasing drainage speed. This design minimises the risk of blockages and enhances the self-cleaning effect, reducing system maintenance.

Immediate Availability

Thanks to an extensive global distributor network, ULMA drainage solutions are readily available when and where they are needed. For this project, Scotia Supplies, ULMA's distributor in the west of Edinburgh, ensured timely delivery. ULMA recognises that time is a valuable resource, and its commitment to customer support is fundamental to its approach.
