Inland Revenue, Leicester

Client: Inland Revenue
Main contractor: Costains
Type of works: White PVC-UE fascia and soffit products specified to complement the building's high-quality design

A large office complex for the Inland Revenue in Leicester provides a perfect showcase to demonstrate the quality and versatility of Celuform low-maintenance PVC-UE building products.

Commissioned by the Property Service Agency, the large office building is distinguished by mellow brickwork with decorative, contrasting detailing. White Celuform PVC-UE fascia and soffit products were specified to complement the building's high-quality design and finish.

The clean lines of the fascia profiles, and the generous soffits formed by Celuform cladding profiles, make a stylish visual contribution to this installation. Attractive, one-off design features, such as the decorative clock tower, have also been created with Celuform products.

The constructional detailing was designed and produced on Celuform's CAD system. Some 25 drawings were prepared in this way. In addition to the efficient production of standard details, the cad disk enabled the non-standard fascia and soffit details to be incorporated into the octagonal clock-tower building.

Celuform low-maintenance pvc-ue roofline not only looks good, but is also cost effective. Unlike timber alternatives, Celuform products require no surface treatment or protection, and will never rot.
