Marley Eternit, leading provider of roofing and cladding solutions, will be exhibiting a range of sustainable and innovative products at Ecobuild as part of its commitment to deliver the best possible solutions for its customers.
Charlotte Hughes, campaign manager at Marley Eternit, comments: With buildings responsible for almost half of the UKs carbon emissions, the carbon usage of a building is a key consideration when preparing to meet impending zero carbon deadlines.
However, as increased use of BIM raises the visibility of carbon labelling, it is inevitable that the next step is to focus on the carbon used to create the build materials. Marley Eternit is dedicated to incorporating raw materials in its products that are both responsibly sourced and benefit from the highest environmental credentials. We are delighted to be able to exhibit a comprehensive product range which boasts such credentials this year.
One such product is the groundbreaking EcoLogic tile. EcoLogic tiles have a pollution-eating coating, which absorbs Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) gases and other harmful pollutants responsible for smog, acid rain and asthma. Based on Marley Eternits ever-popular Ludlow Major concrete tile, EcoLogic tiles also contain a much higher level of recycled material than standard concrete tiles.
Marley Eternit will also be exhibiting its range of UK manufactured Fibre Cement slates. Charlotte Hughes explains: Ever-tightening environmental legislation means that the sustainability properties of fibre cement as a building material, together with its aesthetic versatility, attract considerable interest from specifiers. We are increasingly seeing many building designs which use not only fibre cement roof slates but also fibre cement cladding systems.
Finally, Marley Eternits Eter-Color, the new range of through-coloured fibre cement cladding, will also be on display. Available in eight elegant shades, Eter-Color holds the pigment throughout the mass of the board to provide timeless living colour facades that have a life expectancy of more than 50 years.
Visitors to the Marley Eternit stand will also be able to view its ever-expanding BIM offering. Currently offered for its Cedral Weatherboard products, the BIM application will be extended during 2012 to cover further cladding and roofing products.
Marley Eternit will be exhibiting at 2012s Ecobuild the worlds biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment. Ecobuild will be held at ExCel London from 20 to 22 March 2012. Marley Eternits stand is located in the Building Products area and is numbered N1030.
