The World Health Organization highlights that indoor air can be up to ten times more polluted than outdoor air, largely due to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from coatings, building materials, and furnishings. Responding to growing concerns over indoor air pollution, Crown Trade has created Clean Extreme Clean Air, designed to actively improve air quality as well as enhancing the overall aesthetic of a space.

Developed by our in-house technical experts, the formula is 99% solvent free thanks to our unique breatheasy® technology – improving the air quality in a room from the first coat. 

Reducing indoor pollution over time, Clean Extreme Clean Air leaves only trace VOC emissions detectable (0.003mg/m3) after 28 days, a marked improvement over other leading durable emulsion.

The formulation also works to actively absorb formaldehyde from the surrounding environment. In fact, its innovative air purifying technology has been proven to reduce formaldehyde levels in indoor environments by 45%.

As the first Class 1 scrub-rated paint in the UK to achieve these properties, including BREEAM and LEED accreditations, Clean Extreme Clean Air offers a highly durable, low-carbon solution that extends maintenance cycles.

Crown Trade's commitment to sustainability extends beyond air quality. Clean Extreme Clean Air's packaging is made from 100% recycled materials, protecting the climate inside and the planet outside.
