CPS Manufacturing Co and Cardiff University worked together to install seating into six buildings across three campuses.

A total of 1,382 seats were installed in total. The lecture theatre layouts varied from traditional lecture theatre rooms with Vario seating to Harvard style lecture theatre seating.

One of these lecture halls had 62 Inova turn and learn seats installed at the front. Inova turn and learn seats are unique in that they allow the students to face the lecturer/teacher, but they can also turn sideways making group activities and collaborative learning easier.

The Inova turn and learn seats have been favoured by the fire service in the event of an emergency over loose swivel chairs due to their ability to return to a front facing position when it is not being used.
