PSA were the consultants on the project with Roland Hill Limited taking on the M&E contract. The main challenge for Roland Hill was to integrate a new piping system along the existing steel pipework. Following research and discussions with industry professionals about systems that were suitable for a retrofit project of this nature, the Roland Hill team opted for the new VSH PowerPress.

The thick wall steel system offered flexibility and ease of fitting which was particularly evident when joining with the existing heating pipework at high level in the boiler house. This heat free press system negated the need to attempt threading or welding in difficult and hard to reach locations, and therefore provided a much cleaner and safer install.

In addition, the VSH PowerPress delivered increased health and safety benefits for installers and offered time saving efficiencies too. Combined with onsite training, which was delivered to the installers by the Pegler team, complete confidence in installation procedures and system capabilities was realised.
