FP McCann was specified by Winvic Construction for the design, manufacture and installation of key precast concrete products, which were part of a huge specification build project at Kingswood Lakeside in Cannock, Staffordshire.

Winvic are constructing a 380,000 sq ft distribution facility scheduled for completion in Spring 2017. FP McCann supplied and installed perimeter boundary walls, yard retaining walls, dock leveller pits, and precast insulated dockwall / prowall units.

Manufactured at the company’s Grantham plant, the site boundary walling has been constructed using a number of FP McCann ‘L’ wall units of varying heights from 1.0m to 3.75m to accommodate the external elevation changes across the site.

Around 265 ‘L’ wall units have been placed on an in-situ concrete base slab, then drilled and dowelled into the slab to secure via the individual toe sections by FP McCann’s installation team. Speed of installation and site security has been a key consideration in choosing the ‘L’ wall system. No propping is required which is an added benefit of the ‘L’ wall unit.

Upon completion of the boundary wall, FP McCann’s installation team will fix the dock levellers and some 240 linear metres of dock walls.
