KONE provided De Rotterdam a total lift solution package, equipped with advanced eco-efficiency features including the ability to return power back to the grid.

Spanning a gross floor area of 162,000 square metres, this large mixed-use building in the Netherlands comprises three transparent towers atop a six-storey pedestal at Wilhemina Pier on the south bank of the Maas River.

The challenge was to deliver eco-efficient transit technology which would meet the stringent standards of one of Holland’s greenest buildings.
