Knutsford based Land Rover dealer, Guy Salmon, sells a wide range of new and used Land Rover products and services. Guy Salmon is a division of Sytner, the UK’s leading retailer of prestige and specialist cars. Established over 30 years ago the group is an unrivalled specialist in the world’s greatest prestige markets including: Audi, BMW, Bentley, Chrysler, Ferrari, Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Saab, Toyota and Volvo.

The current building, which dated back to the 1960s, was beginning to show some ware and tear, so the company decided to embark on a complete rebuild. Such an ambitious programme of works meant the dealership needed to find alternative showroom, workshop and office facilities until the anticipated completed date, 6 months down the line.

Such a complex project required the in-depth expertise in bespoke and ‘turn-key’ temporary building solutions only Spaciotempo could provide.

For the showroom, Spaciotempo provided a 15m width x 25m length building with a 4m eave height. For such a high visibility public facility the building needed added extras including glazed personnel doors and windows, electric lights and a conventional flooring system, with vinyl covering, to cope with the weight of the vehicles, whilst also creating an attractive finish.   

With the showroom complete, a second building was installed for workshop purposes and bespoke porta-cabin offices, supplied by an additional contractor, created personnel offices and a link from the workshop through to the showroom.

During the re-build project, it was essential that no trading days were lost and the quality of product and service wasn’t compromised.  The installation of the temporary buildings completely solved the dilemma, leaving a clear run for the construction company to demolish the old building and create the modern, stylish and superior showcase facility worthy of such a revered and reputable product.
