Leading architects and designers were treated to an exclusive viewing of The Fourth Wall visionary kitchen last week, as guests of The Marble & Granite Centre Ltd. The Fourth Wall, a kitchen without boundaries, is a reimagining of a home kitchen by Poggenpohl and Grand Cuisine Electrolux.
The Fourth Wall contemporary kitchen makes extensive use of Lapitec Ebano with a Vesuvio finish. One large format slab (3365x1500mm) makes up the worktop of the kitchens central cooking area, into which is installed a range of Grand Cuisine Electroluxs professional standard cooking equipment. A separate preparation bench is also topped with Lapitec.
Lapitec is renowned throughout the kitchen industry for its unique properties it is tolerant to very high and low temperatures, resistant to UV light, acid and alkali; and is extremely hard and durable. The sintered stone is manufactured from 100% natural minerals, and is available in the UK exclusively from The Marble & Granite Centre Ltd.
Poggenpohl UK Managing Director Simon Richmond commented "When developing the Fourth Wall we wanted to bring together an eclectic mix of materials that could help create a luxurious, tactile finish. Every material was carefully considered and in each case chosen as the highest quality, design led product that allowed us to fulfill the vision.
