Specialist timber window and door manufacturer Mumford & Wood proudly introduces the Mumford & Wood Garden Room collection of bespoke glass-houses, conservatories, orangeries and roof lanterns.
New and existing customers can now extend and coordinate their window and door specification to include the essential must-have garden room in either traditional or contemporary designs. The same exceptionally high specification of materials, thermal performance, security, finish and service will provide a seamless and coordinated addition to new-build projects and existing buildings.
Mumford & Wood has been established since 1954 and its very exciting to be extending our product range and some would say not before time, says Chris Wood, Sales & Marketing Director, Mumford & Wood. The combination of our own design and manufacturing heritage, together with the technical expertise and experience of our sister company, we are well positioned to provide a fine collection of beautifully crafted timber garden rooms.
Widely established as the specialist in period sliding sash windows and complementary French doorsets, the Company offers BSI A-C energy rated fenestration products that can achieve an overall frame U-value of 1.4 W/m².K which surpasses current Building Legislation and already reaches Code 4 level for Sustainable Homes 2013. The bespoke collection of sash windows and casements made from premium, clear-grade laminated timber, can be easily incorporated into garden room designs complete with the attributes of BSI Kitemark and Energy Saving Trust accreditations.
Our beautiful bi-fold doors are available from the existing Mumford & Wood Contemporary and Conservation ranges and will be incorporated into any design of garden room, continues Chris Wood. These doors offer a unique design statement allowing the complete opening of the aperture. Versatile and stylish, bi-folds form an attractive and practical division between the house and the conservatory and maximises the extra space a garden room provides. Mumford & Wood Garden Rooms can create a glasshouse that will not only add value to the property, but will also change the way the house is lived in.
Mumford & Wood casements and doorsets supplied as part of a garden room design are fitted with advanced multi-point espagnolette locking; alternatively a Secured by Design option is available on selected products. An attractive collection of complementary hardware completes the project, is guaranteed for 10 years and has been tested to meet strict performance criteria. A Mumford & Wood garden room can be supplied stained or painted in a selection of gorgeous RAL colours. A choice of glass and glazing options is available, including self-cleaning glass, and high performance sealed units that will reduce solar gain by up to 78%. Contemporary-styled garden rooms will benefit from the new Mumford & Wood Alu-Clad composite frame which is low maintenance and versatile, and the Mumford & Wood Tilt-Turn range which has a unique opening capacity.
Newly appointed Ben Greenwood, the expert representative dedicated to Mumford & Wood Garden Rooms, will project-manage orders from initial design consultation through to delivery of detailed working drawings and on-site delivery. This is a supply-only offering which effectively means a substantial cost saving for the customer and allows specifiers, housebuilders and end-users to employ their own building teams.
