Lightening loads in a world buffet restaurant

By making light work of heavy loads, a Stannah Goodmaster Plus 1000kg goods lift plays an important part in maximising the performance of Jimmy’s World Grill and Bar in the O2 Arena, London – the UK’s biggest events venue.

This full-height goods lift accommodates two attendants to ensure the safe movement of food products and related goods in this flagship world buffet restaurant – the first of many from the Jimmy’s World Grill and Bar.

Featuring double hinged manual doors with vision panels, the Goodsmaster Plus 1000kg operates quietly and efficiently behind the scenes, at a speed of 0.13ms, between first and second floors.

The lift car is constructed from mild steel sheeting finished in tough, grey baked enamel, with a heavy-duty, vinyl-covered floor. Inside, the cabin control panel features a key switch operation with constant-pressure control ‘lift arrival’ and ‘lift occupied’ indicators fitted at each entrance, together with an audible lift arrival buzzer.

Carrying full Notified Body approval, safety features include a full-height infrared detector to the entrances and a load-weighing device with audible overload signal.

Supplied in a structure-supported frame, all that the Stannah Goodsmaster Plus 1000kg requires for fast, easy installation is a pre-formed lift shaft, a solid flat base, and support at each floor and at the top.

Marketing Manager, Amandeep Uppal, said: “Jimmy’s is about offering our customers choice and quality delivered in a fun and exciting way. The Stannah Goodsmaster Plus 1000kg helps ensure the smooth-running of the restaurant – keeping staff safe and ensuring that all our customers enjoy a complete dining experience. There really is no better way to sample a wonderful variety of cuisines from all around the world!”

Lifts from the Stannah Goodmaster range are also first choice for Jimmy’s World Grill & Bar venues in Derby and Watford.
