Elite Systems were tasked with completing an 83 seat cinema screen for the Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton.

Designed by One 17 Architects in 2013 the cinema originally called on Elite Systems to provide an 88 seat cinema extension using off-site construction methods.

Elite provided a steel-framed building clad in Western Red Cedar to complement the existing theatre.

Due to demand, One 17 called upon Elite again four years later to provide a traditional build to allow for the addition of a second screen.

Elite Systems were on site for six months undertaking foundation works, installation of the portal frame, pre-cast concrete tiered floors, SIPS and roofing as well as cladding and internal works.

Using the same Western Red Cedar classing allowed the new building to blend with the existing theatre.
