A premium wood edition of Hettich’s LightTower illuminated larder storage solution has been launched thanks to a partnership between Hettich UK and The Drawer Box Company. The combination of innovation and distinctive dovetail drawers has brought a new level of function and elegance to the market.

Revealed at KBB in March 2024, LightTower comprises five pre-assembled drawer boxes, with runners and internal fronts, and a choice of five widths up to 1200 mm.

Each drawer is illuminated automatically when opened. Delivery of the even, 4,000K light requires no complicated connections. The light set simply clips on the drawer side profiles, while a practical, rechargeable battery pack slots in the rear panel.

Simon Ghali and Paul Barrow set up the Drawer Box Company in 2017 – both had previously run their own successful businesses making high-quality bespoke kitchens. They now supply many of the UK’s bespoke kitchen and furniture manufacturers with dovetail drawer boxes made from carefully selected hardwoods, operating from a site in Ossett, West Yorkshire.

“We do a really good job and take pride in what we do,” says Simon. “We have worked with Hettich for quite some time now and when we were introduced to LightTower we thought it was brilliant and something we’d like to get involved with. The whole partnership is something we’re really proud of and we’re looking forward to the future.”
