Louvre Fencing creates feature for Skyliner Centre

CLD Fencing Systems Specified Louvre Fencing creates feature for Skyliner Centre.

A new £11million project to build a new sports centre in Bury St. Edmunds has benefitted from specified louvre fencing to the exterior thanks to CLD Fencing Systems Rigid Fencing System, Screenogril 80/20.

At 1.8m in height, the new specified louvre fencing acts as both a feature and security for the Skyliner Sports Centre.

The new centre features a 45-station state of the art gym, two fitness studios, four badminton courts based within a sports hall and an outdoor 3G all weather pitch. Open to both members of the school and the public it is hoped to forge stronger bonds between the community and the school.

Through initial design phase, CLD Fencing Systems worked alongside Concertus (principle design consultants) to offer a solution to the new centres modern lines that would give the project at Morton Hall School (now Sybil Andrews Secondary School) the required levels of protection and aesthetics.

Work on the fencing aspect of the project started in late 2017, with Barnes Construction appointed as Main Contractors to carry out the works and management on the site.

CLD Fencing Systems manufactured the Louvre Fencing System at their 4.5ha site in Cheshire before dispatching it to Bury St. Edmunds for installation by the fencing contractor.

The full fencing system was hot dip galvanising and finished in Polyester Powder Coated RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey for added protection, allowing CLD Fencing Systems to award it a 15-year guarantee against manufacturer’s defects.
