A luxury London detached home in Richmond has had a huge new Retrofit basement created by Wykamol registered installer Noble Structures.
This huge task took nearly 12 months to complete and a vast amount of digging down and underpinning to create nearly 2500square feet of basement space.
Projects like these should only be attempted by specialist contractors who understand structural design elements, of projects like these.
Wykamol were asked to attend site by Nobles to create a design for the waterproofing works.
This being a large project needed careful consideration for drainage and channel systems to cope with varying levels within the structure.
Once designs were complete and drawings in 2D and 3D were sent, a waterproofing scheme to BS8102 was in place.
The first part of the scheme was a crystalline slurry Type A coating called HydraDry, a BBA approved slurry based system.
This was followed over this with a Type C Cavity Drain membrane system, all in accordance with Wykamol’s installation procedures.
Regular site meetings followed and as can be seen in the photographs an amazing basement space has been created to house a home cinema gymnasium and various family spaces.
Wykamol are proud to work on projects like this and see their BBA approved membranes being installed in perfectly by companies like Noble Structures.
