Main Point, the “best office building in Prague”

Kingspan Access Floors supplied 19,500 sqm of RG2 raised access panels for 10-storey building in Prague, Czech Republic.

Main Point earned the title of "best office building in Prague" at the MIPIM Awards. The building houses the Kooperativa and CPP insurance companies, both are a part of the Vienna Insurance Group.

Due to the curvature of this unique building, connecting the perimeter sections of the raised floor to the building’s front proved challenging.

Although the finished floor height was low and the concrete slabs they sat on were uneven, the 23mm thickness of the RG2 panels compared to a standard conventional chipboard panel thickness of 38mm, helped to provide a practical height for cables and other lines in the cavity.

Features:
19,500 sq m of RG2 flooring panels
BSEN 12825 Class 2/3/A/2 flooring system in multiple locations throughout the building
Accommodates under floor data cabling, ductwork, gas and electrical pipework and cabling
Low noise thanks to good acoustic performance
