Major refurb for Enfield’s first all-through school

Major refurb for Enfield’s first all-through school

A variety of Amwell products were chosen for major refurbishment works at Ark John Keats Academy. Over the last few years the Academy has undertaken major changes, creating a positive future for the children and young adults within the area.

Ark John Keats Academy has become one of the first all-through schools in the borough of Enfield, with its students now ranging from nursery all the way through to sixth form. A variety of Amwell’s products were installed all over the school, catering from staff WCs to pupil shower cubicles.

Amwell's versatile, robust Splash Solid Grade Laminate system was specifically chosen for the pupil’s toilets and shower cubicles. As this range is hard-wearing in both wet and dry environments, it was the perfect choice to serve its purpose in these high traffic areas. Splash will stand the test of time, showing its strength and easy ability to clean even after a muddy football game. This sturdy system is exactly what the school needed.

Ark John Keats chose Amwell's Playtime and Acorn ranges for their very first Nursery and Reception class pupils, and what a great choice that was! Playtime and Acorn are fantastic for this age; their sweeping divisions and arched doors ensure they have enough privacy to go to the toilet, but also ensure a helping adult is at hand’s reach if need be. Amwell's safety features include emergency release indicator bolts and anti-finger trap hinges to ensure the children are safe.

Bouygues were the lead contractor on this project, and site manager Jon Fitzgerald said "Moving forward I would definitely use Amwell products again. We will work together again in the near future.”
