Marshalls paving chosen for the Southbank's regeneration project

The Southbank in London is a vibrant area of the city, visited by millions of British and international tourists every year.

Marshalls natural stone paving was selected for a major regeneration project to revitalise public spaces and surrounding streets in the Southbank area.

4,000m2 of Diamond Sawn Scoutmoor paving, Marshall’s iconic British Yorkstone, was laid on footpaths close to the London Eye and other major attractions. Scoutmoor, quarried in Lancashire, is one of the approved paving materials of the City of London and can be spotted in and around various other landmarks including Trafalgar Square.

In addition to the Yorkstone, the client also selected 1,500m2 of Chinese granite, Larissa and Callisto. Larissa, which is primarily yellow buff, was supplied in a flamed finish to give the stone a pink shade in some areas. Callisto granite is a silver stone, with grey flecks.
