Gradus’ ATD71L stair edgings with blue LED were chosen for the refurbed Met Theatre.
An independent arts and entertainment venue, The Met presents a mixture of theatre, music and comedy. The Grade II listed building has undergone a significant refurbishment to create a new and improved performance space and facilities.
This includes a transformed theatre area to add capacity and improve aesthetics, more spacious and inviting foyers and bars, enhanced backstage facilities and a new lift to improve accessibility.
As part of the renovation, Gradus’ ATD71L stair edgings incorporating blue LED Interlok Advance lighting were installed in the main theatre. This creates a pinpoint lighting effect across each step, helping to enhance the safety of the building by providing a clear edge when ascending and descending the staircase in darkened conditions.
The ATD71L illuminated stair edging comprises a hardwearing, aluminium channel with a 6mm gauge, and incorporates two PVC-u tubes that house the LED lighting and clip securely into the channel.
