MicroLouvre™ sun screens provide security benefits for windows

MicroLouvre™ provides defence against window damage, an ideal way to combat destructive violence.

Now, when window security is an increasingly important security feature, tests show that MicroLouvre™ can be used as a protective screen, mounted in front of vulnerable window areas.

MicroLouvre™ was tested with bottles filled with water, weighing 1.75 lb, and stones, weighing 2.5 lbs, being thrown from distances of between 10 and 25 feet. Even following 16 throws the projectiles did not penetrate the screen and objects were repelled at an average of nine feet.

When hit by a projectile, MicroLouvre™ does not break, instead the screen gives slightly to absorb any force, it then springs back repelling the object away from the window.

MicroLouvre™ also helps hide any glare from glass-windows, concealing them from potential vandals. Installing MicroLouvre™ also does not result in a barricaded feeling when viewed from the interior.
