In partnership with ARK Argriculture, Milbank Concrete Products have provided their concrete panel silage clamp system.
Harper Adams University had been awarded funding to develop their facilities, and part of this funding included the construction of new silage clamps.
Silage is harvested and then squashed between walls of concrete (the clamp) by a heavy tractor that drives over the pile. Then, it is covered with plastic sheets to stop oxygen getting in and preserving it for several months.
