Elite Systems manufactured and installed a bespoke modular healthcare solution for Fitzwilliam Hospital in Peterborough.

The hospital required a storage area to service its operating theatre – and as the existing hospital building occupies an awkward hillside plot and surrounds a quadrangle, traditional construction was out of the question.

Any new building would have to be constructed within the quadrangle space, potentially causing significant disruption.

In order to build the storage space close to the first-floor theatre, modular construction was the only cost-effective solution.

Elite Systems created a modular healthcare building in our specialist factory, which the company craned into place atop steel stilts within the hospital’s enclosed quadrangle.

This off-site pre-fabricated solution created a healthcare unit which provided much-needed storage space in a tricky space, with bespoke exterior timber cladding helping ensure that the modular building matches the character of the hospital’s new side entrance.
