Movawall’s Type G200 system features in new Business School

Movawall Systems Ltd, part of London Wall Design, partnered with Knox & Wells Ltd to install their Type G200 system for the new Business School at Gower College, Swansea.

Gower College Swansea’s Sketty Hall, a Grade II listed building, nestled in beautiful grounds close to Singleton Park, is being repurposed as a Business School. It will be home to a wide range of professional courses as well as higher level qualifications and degree apprenticeships.

Knox & Wells Ltd were appointed to carry out the renovation works and worked alongside Movawall to manufacture and install two floor supported, glass folding partitions.

The folding partitions are their Type G200 system, which offers Rw 47dB sound reduction while allowing the use of natural light in each room. In addition, being floor supported means there was no need for any additional support to be installed above the system.

The floor supported system is made up of continuously hinged panels with top and bottom sweep seals. Both walls are biparting, giving the most amount of available space to the opening. This allowed Knox & Wells Ltd to keep the beautiful architraves in place.
