The Bauder UK team recently undertook a company challenge ‘My Miles My Way’ to collectively move 2209 miles in total across 7 days. This mileage goal was set so their combined activities would hypothetically tour around all of the Bauder manufacturing plants across Europe, returning back to Bauder UK HQ.
Bauder UK is pleased to say, that not only did they SMASH the challenge… they even had to take a detour from their original route, completing an extra 1988 miles. Collectively the Bauder UK team achieved a total 4197 miles in 7 days!
This challenge was a fantastic initiative set out by their Charity, Social and Wellbeing team, to encourage the Bauder UK Team to participate in some physical activity, to get moving and be creative to achieve their milage. In a busy work environment, it is important that everyone looks after their mental health by stepping out and switching off. Many people find that physical activity helps them maintain positive mental health by releasing feel-good hormones which improves self-esteem and gives them more energy.
The Bauder team completed their miles in their individual, collective, fun, and unique ways; from collaborative walking, solid running, long distance cycling to chasing golf balls, walking 5KM carrying a roll of BauderK5K, a hill climb to the top of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh, a triathlon, kayaking down the river, playing football and handstand walking! It was a whole team effort, whether each individual contributed 1 mile or 300 miles over the week.
Congratulations Bauder UK team, they smashed the challenge in true Bauder style!
